Jose “Jon” Lanuza began his career in brand management, first in consumer goods, then in financial services. After a few years in both industries in the Philippines, he left for Indonesia where, during the heady days of financial industry deregulation, he lead part of a team that expanded one of the largest local banks’ consumer and insurance portfolios. He then proceeded to obtain his graduate degrees in the United States, after which he began a twenty-seven year investment banking career, focused on Asian institutional equity sales. During the last seven years in financial services, he was the US country head for an Asian investment banking firm.
